UNES O&M company is established in December 2012 as a JV inbetween Unit International SA and ESBI. ESB International, which is celebrating 40 years in business this year, is a leading global engineering consultancy specialising in the utility sector.
The company focuses on the delivery of large scale, capital infrastructure projects for international clients and for its parent company ESB, helping them to optimise their energy related projects and strategies.
ESB International, which is wholly owned by ESB, Ireland's State-owned electricity company, is headquartered in Dublin Ireland, and employs over 700 staff across operations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
ESBI invests in, develops, owns, operates and maintains power stations both nationally and internationally, and also trades electricity in competitive European energy markets.
ESBI pioneers in combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) technology with a world-renowned reputation for unrivalled engineering excellence. At ESBI, a full range of engineering, operations and maintenance (O&M) solutions is offered, as well as consultancy services to the global energy market.
Unit with this partnership with ESBI started a very succesful operation of Yeni Elektrik 865 MW CCGT. Employing 38 experts for power plant operation UNES is successfully managing the power plant operation regime. In 2015 with a number of 260 starts and 99.92% O&M availability factor, UNES has proven its succees in combined cycle gas fired turbine operations.
