The 480 MW Uni-Mar Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (“Uni-Mar”) is known as the first B.O.T. scheme power plant project authorized by the Government of Turkey. Located in Marmara Ereğlisi (Tekirdağ), the power plant completed its 15th operational year. The underlying authorization of Uni-Mar has been granted by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources pursuant to an Implementation Contract executed on June,18 1993. The authorization period is 50 years and the initial term of the energy sales agreement expires in 2019, being extendable subject to mutual agreement.
